Candidates for this Charlotte position should possess approximately 2 to 5 years of experience in environmental health & safety.

The minimum requirements for consideration include:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience with environmental health and safety
  • Educational background in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Safety Management, or related field
  • Capacity for critical thinking and technical writing
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to large groups

The duties for this position will include:

  • Conducting Health and Safety audits or reviews at environmental project sites
  • Preparing site-specific Health and Safety Plans
  • Preparing Job Safety Analysis Forms
  • Investigating injury and near-miss incidents, reporting & follow-up
  • Recommending processes and procedures to reduce work hazards
  • Reviewing and improving our safety practice standard operating procedures
  • Training staff in effective safety programs including Stop Work Authority, zero-incident goals, safe work practices, etc.

Preferred Candidates will have at least one of the following:

  • Field experience in environmental sampling, underground storage tank removal, environmental boring oversight, and/or remediation oversight
  • Environmental compliance experience
  • Environmental permitting experience
  • Various experiences in environmental consulting
