Job Description:

Job Summary:

Provides administrative support to the Academic Operations Manager, Administrative Staff, and other activities and special projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide clerical support including hard copy and e-document filing, word-processing, sorting mail, and copying.
* Maintain spreadsheets and databases as assigned. Perform basic data entry tasks.
* Update student, instructor, and other information as needed.
* Maintain program and department information.
* Screen historical files and prepare for archiving.
* Perform various other administrative tasks to assist the manager and administrative staff. Provide occasional support for the Provost and faculty when needed.
* Serve as a note-taker at staff meetings.
* Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

* Enrollment in a City University degree program is required. Enrollment in a graduate program preferred.
* Must demonstrate a high level of customer service, attention to detail, and organizational and problem-solving ability.
* Ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision, effectively prioritize work, multi-task, and adjust to changing workloads and deadlines.
* Ability to read and interpret operating instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse student, staff, and faculty populations.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Hours:

This is a part-time (19.5 hours per week) student position.

Salary:

This position pays a minimum wage of $19.97 per hour.
