BASIC FUNCTION

To provide the specific services specified below on a part-time, seasonal basis in support of the VTC Farm's diversified agriculture infrastructure.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assist with annual sugar making operation, including boiling and gathering sap, as well as maintaining equipment.
* Occasionally assist with forage crop production.
* Occasionally assist the Farm Manager in procuring supplies from current vendors.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Minimal supervision is received from the Farm Manager.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

N/A

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Deep understanding of and experience with traditional sugar making operations.
* Deep understanding of traditional forage crop production and ability to support operations.
* Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting farm equipment.

Special Considerations: Nights/ Weekends. Months a year the position works: 3.00
