Description
The Lead Autism Support Professional II implements the treatment plan of a variety of individuals receiving services through the provision of direct supports to enable them to achieve maximum independence, involvement, and success in the community. The Lead Autism Support Professional II also assists with administrative tasks related to the provision of direct care services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Direct support services include:
- Focusing onproviding support, coaching, and assistance in the areas of social interaction, communication, self-help skills, self-direction, and facilitating meaningful peer and community engagement.
- Documenting provision of direct support services and related matters through the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Administrative responsibilities include:
- Assisting with schedule development and modifications for direct service provision
- Creating reports and following up on action items derived from reports
- Tracking and follow up communication with direct support staff regarding documentation and training requirements.
- Provision of peer support/cross training to direct support staff
- Assist direct support professionals with day-to-day administrative needs and technical troubleshooting
- Providing training in systems and other required trainings
- Assisting in completion of forms and data entry in support of service delivery
- Participates in treatment planning meetings and progress assessment meetings to provide feedback and recommendations
Direct support responsibilities and administrative responsibilities are combined to reach the threshold for a full time schedule. Due to the non-variable hours nature of this position, it is expected that this position will maintain a schedule with a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 40 hours of work. Allocation of hours by type of work will be determined by Department Head and CFO as indicated within offer letter.
Performs other duties as assigned in support of service provision and program operation.
Contributes to the mission of the Autism Society of NC by providing support and promoting opportunities which enhance the lives of individuals within Autism Spectrum and their families.
Ensures services are provided with a commitment to CQLs basic assurances of health and safety and work to meet the personal outcomes of individuals we support.
Participates in Autism Society events such as mini-conferences, annual conferences, etc. as assigned.
Qualifications
Prerequisites are successful delivery of direct support services, strong organizational and administrative skills, ability to self-direct and prioritize to complete tasks assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Must possess a valid drivers license, a safe driving record and an acceptable level of automobile liability insurance. If drivers license is from outside North Carolina, must obtain a NC license within 60 days of establishing permanent residence.
Must have a criminal background check which reveals no health and safety risk to service participants
Must have access to internet and a PC, tablet, or phone with internet platform in order to perform essential functions of this position.
