To perform various accounting and contract functions for the Human Services Department.

* Assist in A/P invoice processing responsibilities.
* Maintain users in Anuko and track quarterly time study reports
* Prepare and enter various monthly journal entries.
* Perform reconciliations for various programs
* Complete monthly billing for various Departments
* Complete purchasing tasks with p-card, including but not limited to staff hotel and training requests
* Complete monthly reporting for various programs.
* Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

 

Supervision Received

Receives supervision from the Accountant Supervisor-Operations, Fiscal Division.

* Associate degree in Accounting from an accredited technical school plus two (2) years recent bookkeeping/accounting experience is preferred.
* Experience in the use of computer databases and/or spreadsheets.
* Prompt and regular attendance.
* Thorough knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting procedures.
* Working knowledge of personal computers (PC's), computerized accounting spreadsheets.
* Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) with all levels of the organization.
* Ability to work independently and make independent decisions.
* Ability to exercise professional discretion in assisting coworkers and other employees.
