Job Summary and Qualifications
Under the direction of the licensed nurse, the BHT III is responsible to provide care to patients with psychiatric disorders. Responsible for observing and intervening to keep patients safe, respond to maladaptive behaviors, and for input into the formulation of a therapeutic milieu treatment plan. The Behavioral Health Technician III position is trained and performs these additional duties as part of their role at least 25% of their time while completing other regular BHT I & II duties.
What qualifications you will need:
* Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Preferred Education: Associate Degree or higher in a human services field, e.g. psychology
* Required License: BLS Preferred License
* Preferred Experience: Two years clinical experience as a health care provider on a psychiatric unit.
