Clinical Supervisor, Licensed Practical Nurse

We are currently recruiting a Clinical Supervisor, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for South Jersey Fertility Center at our Marlton, NJ location.

Hours - M - F an 8 hour shift between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. As needed rotating Saturdays & Sundays (Weekend and Holidays rotating) 7:00 am - 11:00 am with a day off during the week as the needs of the practice dictate

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • The Clinical Supervisor, LPN position has direct care responsibilities as well as supervisor responsibility for the licensed practical nurse(s) LPN(s) and certified medical assistants (CMA).
  • Develop and implement schedules for CMAs and assign specific work based on department needs and individual strengths.
  • Collaborates and successfully carries out, with the care team, recruitment, scheduling, training, development, coaching, performance appraisals, and progressive discipline of staff to allow for a cohesive team.
  • Participates in the care of office visits and assists with procedures.
  • Evaluates and assesses patient's health care needs based on patient's signs and symptoms utilizing established triage protocols and guidelines.
  • Obtains appropriate input and direction from the provider, as needed, to determine the best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient health care.
  • Accurately document symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided and patient/caller response in EMR.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and departmental effectiveness as well as improve health care outcomes of patients/callers and their access to appropriate health.
  • Phone triage, review labs, complete Rx authorization, return patient phone calls, and send result letters.
  • Rotating weekend shifts required, with time off during the week as the needs of the practice allow.

Patient Care:
  • Maintain patient records by accurately recording medical history, vital statistics, etc., and scanning related documents.
  • Checking schedules and organizing patient flow to help minimize wait time and efficiently communications delays to patients.
  • Accompanying patients to exam/procedure room and assisting patients as needed with walking transfers, dressing, collecting specimens and preparing for exam.
  • Collecting patient history and assisting Provider with various procedures and screenings.
  • Relaying instructions to patients/families and providing pertinent information.
  • Patient Records: obtaining lab reports and to provide Provider with complete patient history
  • Adheres to Patient Confidentiality Policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Quality Control and OSHA:
  • Setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocols, cleaning exam/procedure rooms and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control, maintaining and cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program, and restocking exam/procedure rooms.
  • Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and standardized quality control methods to provide the highest quality of patient care.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 1-year Supervisory experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse, a degree from an accredited nursing program, a current NJ license as a Registered Nurse and CPR certification, working in a medical facility, overseeing other staff, preferably in an women's healthcare or fertility setting. Knowledge of specific order sets, and eClinicalWorks are beneficial.
