Position Summary:

The International Worker Transportation Driver is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and reliable transportation for international workers to and from work at Shanty Creek Resort. This role involves navigating local routes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service to our international staff.

Position Duties/Responsibilities:

Transportation Services:
  • Safely transport international workers to and from designated locations, including airports, accommodations, and work sites.
  • Ensure timely arrivals and departures according to scheduled shifts and planned routes.

Vehicle Maintenance:
  • Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, clean, and fueled.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the transportation coordinator.

Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and resort policies while operating the vehicle.
  • Maintain a valid chauffer's driver's license and comply with insurance and driving requirements.

Customer Service:
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting workers with their luggage and ensuring a comfortable ride.
  • Address any inquiries or concerns from international staff during transportation.

Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Complete incident reports for any accidents or unusual occurrences.

Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the HR Team and other resort staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with coordinating transportation schedules as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Guest Service/Conduct:

Personal and professional accountability is an important aspect of employment with Shanty Creek Resorts. To that end, all Shanty Creek employees are required to adhere to Resort policies and standards of conduct while providing our guests with the highest level of service possible. No matter their position, all members of our staff may have opportunities to interact with our guests on a daily basis, therefore all employees must:
  • Meet, on a daily basis, the personal appearance and uniform standards as identified by the Shanty Creek Resorts Employee Handbook.
  • Utilize all tools provided to ensure that prompt and correct service and information is being given to our guests.
  • Always conduct themselves in a professional manner, maintaining the highest standards of guest service in their interactions with fellow employees, vendors, and most importantly our guests.

Professional Experience:
  • Previous experience as a driver or in a transportation role preferred.
  • Familiarity with local routes and regional geography.

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.

  • Must be able to navigate various road conditions and weather scenarios.
  • This work is performed both indoors and out.
  • This position often requires lifting of up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Kneeling, bending and lifting are required in this position.
