FRONT DESK GUEST SERVICES

We are looking for a vibrant, outgoing, friendly, smiling Front Desk agent to join our team at Hotel, Blackhawk, a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel in downtown Davenport, Iowa. Hipstoric, describes our hotel, a wealth of history along with a hip atmosphere. We are looking for candidates that share our company values of passion, humility and perseverance. This will be a person that can share his or her passion for hospitality with our guests

THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT FULL TIME POSITION WITH A COMPLETE BENEFIT PACKAGE AFTER 90 DAYS TO INCLUDE HEALTH INSURANCES, COMPANY PROVIDED $50,000 LIFE INSURANCE, SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCES, PTO, HOLIDAY PAY, MEAL - TRAVEL DISCOUNTS, CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AND MORE

Job duties include:

Guest Services: 90%

+ Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner

+ Anticipate and respond to guest requests

+ H andle billing questions or inquiries

+ Check guests in and out of the hotel

Administrative: 10%

+ Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working

+ Comply at all times with hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations; exceeding Marriott standard

+ Responsible for safety, sanitation, and cleanliness of service areas

+ Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with managers, employees, and other departments

+ Have knowledge of the hotel guest rooms, their locations, and amenities

+ Conduct a daily house count and expected arrivals and departures

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: each essential duty satisfactorily. skill, and/or ability required.

+ Must have the ability to communicate in a positive and understanding manner

+ Must be able to pass a background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent.Associate'sdegree in hospitalityor related field preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the person must be able to remain ina stationary position. The person must be able to constantly operate a computer and telephone to communicate with potential guests.

WORK SCHEDULE: AVAILABILITY MUST INCLUDE WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS.
