Position Summary:

Under the supervision of a physician, provides professional Audiology care and services within the medical practice. Assists in general responsibilities to assist in the day-to-day operation of the Audiology Department.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a Masters Degree in Audiology required.

• Current licensing from the State of South Carolina Board of Audiology.

• Two years previous experience in a medical practice setting.

• Compliance with all regulatory requirements including OSHA.

• Proficient use of Clinical and Practice Management Programs.

• Maintains Patient Confidentiality.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Perform as a member of the Clinical Team to provide excellent patient care.

2. Reviews daily schedules in preparation for each office schedule.

3. Perform accurate and efficient Hearing Evaluations to assess patient's hearing.

4. Perform accurate Auditory testing (ABR, ENG) as directed by the physician and practice manager.

5. Prepares all diagnostic reports for availability to physicians in a timely manner.

6. Accurately completes patient chart notes in a timely manner.

7. Files Hearing Evaluations, Invoices and Results in patient's chart in a timely manner for physician review.

8. Schedules patient appointments, reschedules appointments when necessary and returns patient triage calls.

9. Evaluates Audiology equipment to assure it is in good working condition, annual maintenance is performed, and equipment is cleaned on a regular basis.

10. Notifies Practice Administrator of any damage or concerns.

11. Maintains cleanliness and a positive environment in Hearing area to ensure a pleasant experience for patients.

12. Assists clinical staff with stocking and maintaining exam rooms.

Other Functions:

1. Adheres to Bon Secours and St. Francis Health System rules, regulations, and polices.

2. Performs other duties as assigned. Assists and supports other departments when needed.

3. Role models professional behaviors, approaches and attitudes at all times - particularly

in stressful and conflicting situations

4. Consistently presents a professional image for St. Francis Physician Services
