Role Summary

GenesisCare is the world's largest provider of radiotherapy with clinics in the US, Australia, Spain, and the UK. We are seeking a board-certified Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist to support Physics operations at Lee Cancer Center (LCF) in Fort Myers. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and work in a team setting with physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, and centre administration. You will have the chance to contribute to our active adaptive radiotherapy program using ViewRay Meridian work with a close-knit team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Oversee and assist with the treatment planning and delivery of External Beam Radiotherapy and HDR Brachytherapy including support for ViewRay Meridian Adaptive Program.
* Perform patient chart checks (initial, continuing, and final) and treatment plan reviews, image fusion, dose calculation verifications, and special physics consultations.
* Participate in supporting programs (i.e. Chart Rounds and M&M review) to ensure effective and safe use of radiation and radionuclides.
* Maintain proper records and correspondence pertaining to quality control and quality assurance, calibration, radiation safety and compliance with State and Federal regulations and standards of accrediting bodies.
* Maintain treatment planning systems including regular quality assurance.
* Calibrate and maintain therapy units, radiation sources, and other relevant major equipment to sustain efficient and accurate operation.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

* Master's or PhD degree
* Certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR), the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP), or the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine (CCPM)
* Must meet the qualification to obtain a Florida License in Therapeutic Medical Physics

Experience with one or multiple systems preferred:

* Eclipse/ARIA
* Varian iX & Truebeam
* MOSAIQ R&V
* Nucletron HDR delivery system and Oncentra treatment planning system
