Responsibilities

* Assist/perform sleep studies according to established policies and procedures under the supervision of the department director and clinical supervisor.
* Perform all necessary exams and maintains documentation to ensure timely accurate results of procedures.
* Communicate effectively with patients about the procedure to be performed in order to obtain information and to offer reassurance.
* Clean, sterilize, and dispose of equipment to maintain a safe patient environment.
* Demonstrate ability to work in different age-specific patient populations while promoting the organizational patient safety program

Qualifications

* Registered polysomnographic technologist (R.PGS T.)
* Must obtain CPR/BLS prior to providing patient care
* Must have a working knowledge of mathematics and science courses (anatomy and physiology)
