Mobile Mechanic

With locations in Pittsburgh PA and Kutztown PA, McConway and Torley, LLC has been in continuous operations since 1869, the same year the first US transcontinental railroad was completed. McConway & Torley is looking for a Thermal Finisher (Expert). As a Thermal Finisher (Expert) you'll perform activities related to melting, casting, and tempering steel products.

Shift: First shift

Location: Kutztown, PA

What You'll Do:

* With readily available technical guidance, keep mobile equipment in good repair.
* Respond in a timely manner to work orders and management requests.
* Examine a variety of machines to diagnose trouble and recommend repair.
* Dismantle mobile equipment, replace defective parts, reassemble mobile equipment and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
* Assist more experienced maintenance mechanics as assigned.
* Follow all safety regulations and company policies regarding safety.
* Work around a wide variety of equipment, chemicals and machinery: must be aware of safety hazards at all times.
* Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned.
* Available to work any and all shifts.

What You'll Need:

* At least one year of experience
* High School Diploma

Working Conditions:

* Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
* This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays.
* Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.

* Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
* Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
