Job description

Main Purpose

Transfer Facility Supervisor involves managing the logistics of loading and unloading containers at a ten-day facility. Responsibilities include transferring containers between inbound and outbound trailers according to manifests, ensuring accurate piece counts, inspecting trailers and loads, reporting information to the outbound transportation coordinator, aiding production by processing containers, and facilitating communication between different departments. Additionally, assisting in production tasks and other assigned duties are part of the role.

The role

Key Job Responsibility

  • Log loads into and out of the ten-day facility.
  • Transfer specific containers as manifested from inbound trailers to outbound trailers and vice versa.
  • Ensure container piece count on trailer matches manifest.
  • Inspect trailers/loads while at the ten-day facility.
  • Provide information to outbound transportation coordinator for Ten Day facility trailer report.
  • Assist production department with processing of containers for dumping/pumping and general production duties.
  • Facilitate communication between Ten Day facility, shipping, transportation, receiving, and operations departments.
  • Assist plant in production as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The person

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must complete OHSA certification course.
  • Must successfully complete Hazwoper training.
  • Must participate in an OSHA/HAZWOPER physical examination.
  • Must obtain a physician's certification to wear respirator.
