Overview
AMERISAFE is seeking a detail-oriented, productivity driven professional to add to our "Excellence Team" based in DeRidder, LA. The executive assistant will perform a variety of administrative duties to support the executive staff and must maintain confidentiality at all times. This position is a representative of the Company in all senses and is expected to uphold a high level of professionalism.
Qualifications
* Prior experience in a support role preferred, but not required
* Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
* Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at all levels of the company, with board members and externally
* Detail-oriented, self-starter with the ability to prioritize and make decisions
* Knowledge of basic computer skills with the ability to learn new skills and programs with minimal guidance
* Flexibility to work alternate/extended hours, as needed
* Foster the AMERISAFE culture by embracing the pillars of consistency, focus, frugality, ownership and service
Responsibilities
* Organize and prepare for meetings, including quarterly board meetings
* Gather and prepare documents and attend to meeting logistics
* Serve as the primary point of contact for coordination and facilitation of board meetings
* Coordinate with IT and Facilities as needed
* Coordinate travel arrangements for executive team, board members and others as requested
* Prepare and maintain various records and documents
* Complete special projects including PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, reports, etc. as requested
* Research for projects and/or legal matters may be completed, as requested
* Manage reservations, schedule cleaning and maintain supplies for the Bradley House
* Monitor incoming calls, take messages and direct calls appropriately
* Routinely perform a variety of administrative and support duties, not limited to printing, faxing, copying, etc.
* Sort and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail/packages
* Prepare expense reports, check requests and other documents as requested
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and potentially non-public information
* Other duties as assigned, including supporting other departments as needed
