Maintenance & Facilities Repair Technician

Diagnoses and analyzes computer numerical control (CNC) equipment, other mechanical manufacturing/testing equipment, facility support equipment for malfunctions and potential failures in their respective systems and takes corrective measures. Completes submitted work orders in a timely manner, adhering to all safety and standard operating procedures.

* Performs basic electrical and mechanical repairs on conventional, CNC and facility equipment.
* Performs basic pneumatic/hydraulic repair, electrical component replacements, and elementary wiring
* Analyze machine service manuals, drawings, blueprints, and schematics to diagnose problems and put machines back on-line to meet customer needs. May contact the technical support department of the machine manufacturer, if needed
* Ability to use precision gages and measuring tools such as dial indicators, calipers, micrometers.
* Fundamental understanding of machining and assembly processes, PLC's and automated equipment.
* Ability and willingness to perform all the essential functions of the general maintenance support technician.
* Participates as needed in continuous improvement events to increase process efficiency.
* Accountable and responsible for all safety and environmental compliance as it relates to the position. Demonstrates knowledge of general safety, security, and environmental regulations.
* Adheres to 5S objectives. Understand Facility support systems and their impact on business.
* Communicate with other departments, understanding changes in priorities and the ability to provide timely updates on production impacts.
* High school graduate or equivalent. Vocational training or technical trade school is preferred, or a combination of additional education/experience totaling six (6) years, of which two (2) years of technical trade school training.
* Five (5) or more years as a CNC Repair Technician.
* Strong electromechanical abilities. Ability to calculate figures and dimensions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
* Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
