MAU is hiring a Senior Quality Engineer at our client in Blythewood, SC. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will plan, and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for production processes, materials, and products by performing various tasks. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information:

  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college, preferably in Engineering
  • 3 – 5+ years of related experience; AND/OR
  • Associate’s degree in Science or Engineering from 2 – 4-year college or university; AND
  • 5 – 7+ years of related experience and/or training; OR
  • High school diploma or GED; AND
  • 7 – 10+ years of related experience and/or training

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation
  • Lead all 8D analysis of customer complaints and concerns for root cause and countermeasure implementation
  • Devise sampling procedures and design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data
  • Establish program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devise methods to assess cost and responsibility as well as lead or facilitate scrap reduction activities
  • Direct workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability
  • Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities
  • Prepare design concepts, drawings, and cost estimates for gauging and tooling
  • Ensure timely and accurate calibration of gauges and maintenance of test equipment
  • Manage and initiate new program management
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position can supervise the following positions:

  • Quality Technicians and/or Quality Inspectors

Work Environment or Working Conditions:

  • Office setting

Travel:

  • Travel by automobile and plane required approximately 10 – 20%
