Effective Date: 2023-2024 School Year to begin on July 24, 2024

Job Description:
Serve as a behavior intervention support for students, collaborate with classroom teachers; ensure that Title I, Part A requirements are met with meaningful and strategic actions to build student success; collaborate with teachers and staff to develop evidence-based interventions to meet student needs; collaborate with Family Engagement Coordinators to provide support to parents so they can become better advocates for their children's education; develop and maintain meaningful relationships; support transition to various settings in the school; support and supervise individual students to assist with meeting their daily goals under the direction of the classroom teacher;

Knowledge/Skill/Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated leader who can work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of evidence-based intervention strategies and tools
  • Strong knowledge of computers and fundamental technology (i.e. e-learning software, digital media)
  • Understands and respects the diversity of families' economic, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds and situations
  • Experience working in Title I schools
  • Strong understanding of student achievement data
  • Ability to speak eloquently to school and/or district leaders
  • Ability to work productively with a flexible schedule
  • Preferred background working in classrooms

Qualifications:
Credential: Possess or be eligible for Georgia Paraprofessional Certification
