Sales Catering and Service Coordinator

SCP is currently seeking a Sales Catering and Services
Coordinator to join our Sales Team at SCP Redmond

The Catering Sales & Service Coordinator is primarily responsible
for prospecting new business, contracting and servicing the
groups to ensure guests satisfaction. S/He will maximize the
profitability of the hotel while maintaining guest satisfaction.

The Catering Sales & Service Coordinator is an excellent
multi-tasker with a passion for selling and servicing groups for
the hotel... They will be responsible for exemplifying the SCP's
Culture & Core Values.

$18.50 + Gratuity on events worked + Commission

What You Will Tackle:

* Enthusiastically prospect to seek new business in all assigned
markets

* Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Resolve guest
complaints to over-the-moon satisfaction.

* Embrace and exemplify the SCP Culture & Core Values in your
day-to-day job duties.

* Identify operational problems that impact the effectiveness of
overall sales performance and work closely with appropriate
Departments on solutions.

* Report directly to the Regional Director of Sales.
* Achieve target booking and consumption goals set by the
Director of Sales.

* Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and
off-site presentations for potential clients.

* Distribute final Rooming Lists and Banquet Event Orders to all
applicable service staff, including the Banquet Service Staff,
the Food Preparation Staff and the Rooms Division.

* Maintain guest satisfaction scores for the hotel and work
collaboratively with other departments to ensure Revinate target
(4.5 stars or higher) goals are met.

* Follow up with clients regularly during and after departure to
ensure satisfaction and secure future bookings.

* Arrange all details of conventions and or catering events to
include room set-ups, staging, lighting, audiovisual, traffic
flow, menus, décor, entertainment, group room blocks, VIP
services, and approved method of payment

* Assist in the negotiation of food and beverage prices, function
space, and hotel services within approved departmental booking
guidelines

* Identify operational problems that impact the effectiveness of
overall catering sales performance and work closely with
appropriate departments on solutions

* Plan and conduct pre-event and post-event meeting with clients,
guests, and catering staff

* Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

* Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
(Live near Redmond, OR)

* Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Fluency in
other languages is beneficial.

* Must be available to work some nights and weekends
* Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally
and written.

* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency
and empathy.

* Outstanding coordination and multi-tasking abilities.
* Professional in appearance and demeanor.
* Ability to learn, understand, and work within POS, PMS, CRM,
and other Hospitality specific software systems.

* Must have general computer skills including Microsoft Office
and Google Suite.

* Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well
with guests, vendors, and team members.

* Must have the ability to resolve problems and/or conflicts in a
diplomatic and tactful manner.

Education and Experience

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
* 3-5 years of hotel catering/Wedding experience with at least 2
years of experience selling and/or servicing hotel events

* Must have excellent organizational skills, experience creating
BEO's, customized menus, diagraming, and full event coordination.
