Job Description
Supervises reservations and scheduling, pre-registration and insurance verification staff. Provides scheduling training, medical necessity training pre-certification training and focuses on customer service and accuracy of information. An active liaison between physicians, nursing, diagnostic services and transferring facilities. High school diploma or GED required with Associate or Bachelor degree preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Patient Access aspects (reservations, scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification and bed control) preferred. Minimum of 1 year of inpatient/outpatient are or business office required.
Sedentary work performed in office setting. Requires constant hearing, speaking, vision and repetitive hand movement. Requires attention to detail despite frequent interruptions.
