Job Description:
In-House Counsel provides legal support and advice to Tennessee Oncology regarding federal and state regulatory requirements. This position also advised the organization on a variety of legal matters, including but not limited to contract drafting and negotiation, employment matters, litigation, and compliance. risks and issues. In addition, In-House Counsel may represent their employer in court, in the case of a lawsuit or other legal proceedings as well as participate in settlement negotiations. This position is on-site in Nashville, Tennessee.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Draft agreements and contracts on behalf of the company.
* Provide legal advice and assistance to management on a variety of legal issues affecting the Company's day-to-day business activities including labor and employment and regulatory matters.
* Work collaboratively with other departments within the company.
* Advise on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different deals.
* Research and anticipate unique legal issues that could impact the company.
* Manage the Company's litigation matters.
* Support the Company's Operations team.
* Participate in due diligence review.
* Review advertising and marketing materials to ensure that they are following legal requirements.
* Provide training to the company on legal topics.
* Maintain compliance with Tennessee Oncology's Compliance Program.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

* Superior communication skills in both written and verbal presentation, including all aspects of legal writing technique and procedure, and the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-lawyers. Ability to function effectively and complete projects in a timely manner in a fast-paced and changing environment with multiple priorities and objectives
* Effective leadership skills which demonstrate the ability to participate in innovation and change, strategic thinking, and problem solving
* Mental alertness and the ability to properly treat confidential information.

* Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree from an accredited college.
* Five (5) years' experience gained in large law firm and/or in-house with major firm
