Job Description

This opportunity is for an Associate General Counsel role within Range’s Corporate Legal Department which will report directly to Range’s General Counsel. The ideal candidate has a juris doctor degree, top academic credentials, exceptional communication skills, and 4-8 years of corporate transactional experience. Preferred candidates will have significant experience within the entertainment industry. Candidates with litigation experience may be considered if they have substantial experience within the entertainment industry and can demonstrate an ability to transition into the role. The ideal candidate would be located in Nashville, New York, LA or Miami.


Responsibilities

  • Review, draft and negotiate a wide variety of agreements.
  • Assist in the development of form agreements for Range.
  • Research and advise in connection with corporate legal issues.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with all members of the Range team.


Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school in the United States.
  • 4-8 years of experience working at an AM-Law 100 Firm or equivalent in-house experience.
  • Experience working on corporate transactions within the entertainment industry is preferred.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong academic background from top-tier law school and undergraduate institution preferred.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; Admitted to the Tennessee, New York, California, or Florida Bar.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, while understanding the importance of maintaining a strict level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to provide high-quality work product in a timely manner to meet demands of the organization and to effectively and efficiently multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Team-oriented approach to work.
  • Consistently meet deadlines while working under pressure and ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize them effectively and appropriately.
