Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and customer-focused Optical Receptionist to join our team. The Optical Receptionist will be responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, processing insurance information, and assisting with administrative tasks in a busy optometry office.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Proven experience in a customer service or receptionist role
* Familiarity with medical or optical terminology preferred
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in basic computer skills
* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
* Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
* Schedule appointments and confirm appointments with patients
* Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate person
* Verify insurance information and assist with billing inquiries
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
* Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and ordering office supplies
Additional Requirements:
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
* Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment
* Prior experience working in an optometry or medical office is a plus
