Reporting to the VP of FP&A, you will play a critical position in the mid and long-term planning for a large agribusiness with a diverse, vertically integrated asset base. Ideally located in Bakersfield or Exeter. This position offers an unparalleled career trajectory and will have a direct impact on the decision-making within one of the nation's leading produce companies. The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will work closely with the senior management team and accounting team to bridge the gap from historical results to predicted performance, and increase financial transparency and understanding throughout the Company.

What will you be doing in this seat?
  • Working closely with the leadership team to formulate the Company's medium to long-term financial and strategic plan
  • Working with business unit/vertical heads to build their annual budgets and forecasts
  • Producing models to project long-term growth and determining the impacting business factors
  • Delivering competitor analysis, market trends, and associated commentary to the Leadership team
  • Analyzing financial and operational results to better understand company performance
  • Utilizing BI tools to deliver meaningful insights into business performance
  • Communicating to senior management the reasons behind the product/department performance and results
  • Providing detailed analysis and commentary on cost center results
  • Reviewing operations and recommending new productivity or cost-saving initiatives
  • Preparing business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions
  • Reviewing existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts
  • Evaluating previous budgets, and expenditures to develop and implement future budgets
  • Communicating results and recommendations to senior management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation, and streamlining operations
  • Providing insights to senior management around financial modeling, forecasts, and profitability

What does our perfect candidate look like?
  • B.S. in accounting, business, finance, or related with 3+ years of experience
  • Significant analytical skillset, including the utilization of BI and reporting tools.
  • High level of commercial acumen with strong quantitative analysis capabilities
  • Advanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel and other accounting packages
  • Able to solve complex problems utilizing critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships
