This is a Merit Hire position. This hourly rate for this position is $15.68 per hour. This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement. Dauphin County Mental Health/Autism/Developmental Programs is currently accepting applications for Clerk Typist 2. The Clerk Typist 2 performs responsible and moderately complex clerical functions, providing support for the Dauphin County Mental Health/Autism/Developmental Programs Administrator's office. Primary responsibilities include providing clerical support services to the Mental Health/Autism/Developmental Programs staff as well as other components of the Program. Work involves all clerical functions in a complicated, highly professional office, and requires the utilization of organization and word processing skills and functions with some independence. The Clerk Typist 2 is directly supervised by the Administrative Assistant II and may provide backup coverage to the Clerk Typist II assigned to Crisis Intervention services.

Minimum Education Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months of typing experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent

Or completion of a high school business curriculum and a High School Diploma or equivalent which included at least one typing course.

Other Requirements:

At the time of hire, a valid driver's license and positive driving record, a favorable criminal background check, child abuse and FBI clearances, as well as favorable references are required. The applicant must provide proof of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license within 60 days from the date of hire. An alternative form of identification will be accepted if you are not eligible to receive a Pennsylvania driver's license under 67 PA. Code § 83 and driving is not an essential function of the position.
