The position is responsible for providing support in a variety of functions to the Maintenance Department.

Maintenance - manages ODR entry, parts, coordinating vehicles for maintenance and entering data.

DUTIES

This position reports to the Maintenance Manager of York. This position receives general instructions regarding the scope and approach to assignments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintenance Duties:

1.Receives and verifies parts, materials, and supplies by retrieving said items from holding area after receipt from maintenance personnel. Inspects condition of items, compares count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list; advises supervisor of discrepancies; barcodes items; stocks and rotates items into inventory.

2.Coordinates vehicles for maintenance as needed

3.Ensures quality of inventory by identifying damaged items and shortages and informing Maintenance Manager.

4.Ensures quantity of inventory by generating a weekly system report that identifies all inventory items that have fallen to the established order point. Picks-up/deliver parts, materials, vehicles as necessary and ensures they are received per policy by other maintenance personnel.

5.Controls inventory by conducting physical counts and reconciling with inventory system; data entry of fuel inventory and miles daily; maintains a variance report to be reviewed with supervisor.

6.Maintains inventory storage area by organizing stock shelves, bins, racks, etc. and keeping area clean and orderly.

General Duties:

7.Completes record keeping and documentation by documenting procedures and decisions; maintaining required documentation; inputting and maintaining computer applications, forms, and logs; reviewing operator documents for accuracy, response, and timely delivery to appropriate departments; collect, analyze, and track operating data as assigned. Completes daily clerical assignments such as clipboards for following day's service. Ensures payroll information is accurate and timely.

8.Maintains trust, confidence and a positive image of the organization by keeping information confidential and disclosing only on a need to know basis; ensuring high ethical standards for self; and using good customer service skills with both internal and external customers.

Additional Tasks:

Contributes to team effort by performing other assigned duties as needed. Maintains cooperative relationship with coworkers and management by communicating necessary information, responding to requests, building rapport; and participating in problem solving methods.

Essential knowledge, skills, abilities and experience:

High School degree or equivalent

Must have regular attendance and punctuality.

1-3 years parts/inventory experience

Vehicle parts knowledge

Basic Computer expertise

Ability to do data entry with speed and accuracy.

Ability to be detail oriented, organized, accurate, and able to prioritize work tasks.

Ability to be self-motivated and results oriented to accomplish objectives

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with operators, clients, and staff to gain information and support in accomplishing goals. Ability to interact courteously with diverse internal and external customers.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to follow directions and communicate with others to obtain information and identify, analyze and resolve discrepancies in data received.

Knowledge of basic mathematics.

Valid Driver's License from state of home residence.

Demonstrated auditory and visual acuity and ability to recognize colors.

Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time

Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime, various shifts and weekend work.

Federal regulations require random testing for drug abuse and alcohol misuse.

For the most part ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.

Individual physical activities include by are not limited to part handling, walking, sitting, standing, reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, and/or crouch. Requires manual dexterity, and ability to grasp with both hands, twist both wrists, and use both arms to push, pull, hold, and carry items. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds - proper lifting techniques required.

Work is performed indoors, and in a shop environment, exposed to normal conditions of a fleet maintenance work environment. Individual is exposed chemicals and fumes. Can be exposed to hot, cold, wet and /or humid conditions and high noise levels.
