Lab Technician

Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: Maplewood MN 100% onsite
Pay Range: $18 to $23 p/h w-2 depending upon experience
What's the Job?
- Independently conduct tasks and tests in a laboratory setting, utilizing computer software to analyze data, draw conclusions, and document findings.
- Collaborate with development and manufacturing engineers to perform product testing on existing product lines, addressing manufacturing or product-related issues, conducting audits, and documenting analysis.
- Assist engineers in scaling up and qualifying production parts, creating product claims, developing test methods, and drafting specification documents.
- Operate and understand laboratory equipment for product testing and test method development.
- Record observations and data in spreadsheets and technical notebooks, analyze data, and generate final reports and summaries. Communicate test results to relevant individuals and project teams.
- Contribute to product development initiatives by prototyping new product ideas or modifying existing products.
- Maintain and operate basic hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment. Perform routine laboratory tasks such as shipping and storing customer samples.
What's Needed?
- Bachelors degree and 1 year of laboratory experience
OR - Two-year associate degree (2 year degree) or equivalent experience + Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience
- Basic skills set with data collection and analysis (MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately and strong organizational and time management skills.
