Job Description

  • Distribute and collect passes to visitors.
  • Provide information on visitation guidelines.
  • Assist visitors and patients with wayfinding.
  • Communicate with staff, patients, visitors via phone and in-person.
  • Contact units/AOD on behalf of visitors/patients.
  • Covid-19 screening of all visitors and entering data into Passage Point (Visitor Management)
  • Provides coverage in the Patient Relations office as needed.
  • Maintains patient and family confidence by keeping complaint information confidential.
  • Listens to patients and visitors regarding concerns and requests, providing them with information or direction.
  • Resolves complaints by listening to patient and their families; directing them to a physician or supervisor; helping them present facts to the hospital representative; developing acceptable resolutions and following up on outcomes.
  • Improves quality by following established policies ad procedures.
  • Serves and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and JCAHO standards.
  • Provide coverage at Point of Entry when assigned.
  • Works a flexible schedule as determined by the Director with an emphasis on working during the hours when coverage is needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Assignment Level I
• High School diploma or GED; and
• One (1) year of full-time customer service experience; and
• Good written and oral English communication skills; and
• Computer skills, including word processing, spread sheet and/or database software programs.
