PURPOSE

To provide leadership to Forest Home's Child Care Assistant (CCA) Program. Develop the best in class curriculum for this all-girls camp program to disciple and strengthen their faith and their walk with Christ.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans and directs Forest Home's CCA Program.
  • Visionary leader who can help take this CCA program to the next level
  • Works closely with Family Camp Director to develop and implements strategies for strengthening attendance and spiritual development of campers.
  • Develops and maintains communication/relationships with parents and attendees as is appropriate.
  • Provides leadership (recruiting, hiring, training, supervision and evaluation) to CCA Program staff.
  • Teaches the Bible including, but not limited to: large group speaking, Bible Studies, seminar teaching, and curriculum design.
  • Develops best in class curriculum for all-girls discipleship program.
  • Directs the preparation of the short term and long range plans and budgets.
  • Evaluates the results of the overall operations of the CCA Program on a regular, systematic basis and reports these results to the Family Camp Director.
  • Accounts for the overall safety and security procedures for CCA Program staff, campers (including children in the Family Camp Program), and facilities.
  • Actively supports and participates in staff spiritual life activities.
  • Performs other tasks/duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position oversees multiple seasonal residents.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate office machines. Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers and speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person or over the phone.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud at times.
