Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy IV Technician at Norfolk General Hospital
Sign On Bonus up to $5,000 for qualified candidates
Status: Full time (40 hrs/wk)
Shift: 8.5 hour Rotating Shifts
Hours: Shifts vary between 6am-11pm M-F
Weekend: Every other weekend rotation
Required qualifications:
* Virginia Pharmacy Technician license REQUIRED
* 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience REQUIRED
* Pharmacy Technician Registration Number and Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) REQUIRED
* 3-months IV Room experience REQUIRED
Preferred qualifications:
* CSPT Preferred
Job responsibilities:
* Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications under the direction of a pharmacist
* Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient focused and cost efficient drug therapy
