Job Summary:
HCA Healthcare Pathology Services is seeking a Pathologist, Board Certified in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology, for HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital.
Qualified Candidates:
* AP/CP certification or board eligibility
* At least three years of hospital-based experience
* Active Florida Medical License or eligible to obtain
* Comfortable with the full scope of AP and CP for community hospital practice
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience building collaborative relationships with hospital staff and referring physicians.
Pathology Work Description:
* Surgical volumes - approximately 2800 per year
* Cytology - 250 per year
* Procedures (frozen sections and ROSE) - 6-7 per week
* Clinical Pathology
* Peripheral smears - 4-5 per day
* Blood bank reviews - 3-4 per month
* HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital has approximately 215 beds. Anatomic pathology specimens include a wide variety of cases - breast, GU, colorectal, thoracic, ortho and gyn/OB specimens.
