Licensed Practical Nurse- Homecare- Intermittent Visits

Maxim Healthcare in Denver is hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work one-on-one with patients needing intermittent homecare visits. Most common type of cares needed include catheter care, wound care, diabetic management, and medication management. Visits range from 30 minutes- 1 hour in duration.

Responsibilities:

* Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
* Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
* Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
* Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
* Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
* Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable
* Supports professional practice by observing the following:
* Nurse Practice Act
* Standards of Nursing Practice
* Standards of Patient Care
* Standards of Accrediting Body (ACHC, Joint Commission, etc.)
* State and Local Laws
* Patient Bill of Rights
* Maxim Healthcare, Nursing, and Client's Policies
* Adheres to Maxim policy and procedure and applicable protocols
* Attends case conferences, team meetings, education in-services as required
* Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
* Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License for the state of Colorado.
* Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
* Current BLS certification.
* One year prior Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience preferred, but not required.
* Complies with accepted professional standards and practice

Salary:

* Pay structure is per visit*
* $40-$45/visit
