QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's or advanced degree with teacher's certificate preferred. Previous head coaching experience is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will have a strong history of character and adult staff development. The girls golf head coach must realize and appreciate the need for the program to work with other sports as a complement to the entire athletic department, as well as a demonstrated commitment to the ideals of Catholic and Jesuit education. If a teaching or position is open in the school fitting a candidate's credentials, the coaching candidate may apply separately for that position if interested. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Ability to be available, organize and supervise practice sessions, off-season activities, and other activities that pertain to a complete girls golf program.
  2. Support the school's Athletic Philosophy, particularly as it pertains to:
    • Athletic Code of Conduct
    • Formation
    • Academic Focus
    • Athletic Development
  3. Hire and oversee JV Head Coach within the guidelines of the athletic department mission and handbook
  4. Attend all mandated Saint Ignatius/GCAC/IHSA meetings and training sessions
  5. Responsible for inventory, distribution and collection of uniforms and equipment
  6. Maintain appropriate relationships and boundaries with student/athlete, parents, etc
SUPERVISION: Reports directly to the Saint Ignatius College Prep Athletic Director.
