The Benefits Administrator is responsible for assisting in planning, analysis, administration, and execution of the LMH employee benefit and wellness programs in alignment with the goals of the organization.
Responsibilities
  1. Assists with the administration and maintenance of various benefit programs which include; medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, FSA accounts, defined contribution, and defined benefit plans.
  2. Administers FMLA and Disability programs. Acts as subject matter expert for all leave of absences and FMLA claims and inquiries.
  3. Serves as primary contact for various benefit issues such as coverage, enrollment eligibility, family status changes, claims, and other benefit matters.
  4. Audits records and benefits eligibility periodically as needed.
  5. Assists with annual open enrollment.
  6. Assists with the development and implementation of communications and/education programs to enhance member knowledge, appreciation, and effective use of benefits.
  7. Builds and maintains relationships with insurance carriers, consultants, actuaries, brokers, record keepers, and third-party administrators.
  8. Audits and processes monthly vendor billing.
  9. Documents and maintains administrative procedures for assigned benefit processes.
  10. Maintains an understanding all applicable government laws and regulations at the federal, state and local levels, which impact employee benefits.
  11. Participates in benefits surveys.
  12. Communicates benefits and compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  13. Prepares reports on benefits and compensation related issues.
  14. Responds promptly to employee inquiries via email, phone, etc.
  15. Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in benefits.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables at once and prioritizes workload.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR field.
  • Prior experience within a healthcare environment.
  • SHRM-CP, CBP, CCP, PHR, SPHR, or CEBS certification.
