**Education Qualifications:**

**Must meet ONE of the following requirements:**

+ 6 months of nursing assistant experience

+ Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program

+ Successful completion of an EH provided Nursing Assistant training within one month of hire

+ Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program

+ Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry

Essentia Health offers a Nursing Assistant Foundation course as well as on the job training for individuals interested in pursuing a Nursing Assistant career within a hospital setting As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, or Department Director, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

**Duties may vary by unit or department but typically involve:**

+ Assisting with personal hygiene and nutritional needs

+ Offering comfort care and personalized assistance

+ Safely transferring patients

+ Monitoring vital signs and maintaining accurate records

+ Swiftly reporting any changes in patient condition to the RN

+ Upholding a clean, safe environment to enhance patient healing and well-being

**Our Nursing Assistants work the following:**

+ Every Other Weekend

+ Rotating 8 Hour Shifts

+ Day Shift: 7:00AM - 3:30PM

+ Evening Shift: 3:00PM - 11:30PM

+ Overnight Shift: 11:00PM - 7:30AM

**A variety of scheduling options are available, including positions with 24 - 36 hours per week**

**Licensure/Certification Qualifications:**

+ BLS certified or ability to become certified within 1 month from hire date.

**Shift Rotation:** Day/Eve/Night Rotation (United States of America)

**Shift Start/End:** 7:00AM, 3:00PM, 11:00PM/3:30PM, 11:30PM, 7:30AM

**Hours Per Pay Period:** 64

**Compensation Range:** $17.84 - $22.19 / hour

**Union:** St Josephs SEIU Local 113 (STJSEIU)

**FTE:** 0.8

**Weekends:** Every Other
