Description

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

* Operates a gas or electric forklift in the warehouse.
* Performs daily machine inspections while adhering to established safety procedures.
* Moves product to work areas according to production schedule.
* Stacks product in storage areas and loads shipments into trailer(s), container(s), and/or railcar(s).
* Unloads full and partial pallets, wraps pallets when necessary, stages product for loading, and checks pallets for accuracy to order.
* Maintains clean and organized aisles or racks storage, and consolidates partial pallets when needed.
* Labels, sorts, wraps, and ties inventory products.
* Communicates with management and maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs.
* Complies with company safety policies and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
* Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.
* Performs other duties as assigned by management.

WHAT WE NEED

EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:

* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Forklift certification preferred
* Minimum of one year or more of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

* Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Ability to work well with all levels of employees, whether individually or in a team environment
* Ability to perform basic math skills
* Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisory, and management personnel.
* Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.
* Must display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel.
