LPN/endocrinology - FT, M-f (8-4:30)

Toledo Clinic's Endocrinology Department is seeking a full-time LPN to provide both clinical and clerical support in a busy medical office. The hours are M-TH (8-4:30) and F (8-4). There are no late evenings, weekends or holidays and employee benefits are offered. Previous experience in a medical office is preferred and qualified candidates will have a current Ohio LPN license.

General Summary:

Assist provider(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for provider, and performs various clerical duties.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

* Assist provider with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
* Escorting patients to exam room.
* Preparing exam rooms.
* Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
* Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
* Administering injections.
* At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
* Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
* Follow up with lab work and/or x-rays.
* Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
* Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

* Excellent interpersonal skills required.
* Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
* Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
* Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

Education:

* Practical Nursing education and Current State LPN licensure required.

Preferred:

* Previous LPN experience in a medical office helpful.
