What You Will Be Doing

* Analyzing and summarizing legal documents
* Researching, both legal and of people, businesses, and worksites
* Evaluating cases and strategically developing defenses
* Conducting client meetings and recommending strategies
* Investigating facts, planning, preparing and conducting depositions
* Preparing and arguing motions
* Conducting hearings and mediations
* Preparing witnesses and corporate representatives
* Briefing at trial and appellate courts
* Thinking analytically
* Writing defense mediation summaries

What You Need to Bring

* Actively licensed and in good standing with the State of Georgia
* Critical thinking and research skills
* Strong writing, analytical, and communications skills with superior attention to detail
* 4 - 6 years experience in defense litigation; solid insurance defense experience with professional liability and/or coverage litigation experience a plus
* Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling priorities, and adhering to strict deadlines
* Must be a self-starter who can handle multiple projects with competing priorities and understand the importance of deadlines
* Client-focused mentality
* Take initiative and welcome challenges
* Ability to work flexibly and independently within a strong team
* Ability to review and interpret financial records is a plus
