Blue Regional School Distirct's Clinical Coordinator will assume an important role in supporting and overseeing the development and well-being of students in the K- age 22 day treatment and adaptive skills programming. This individual will oversee the implementation of comprehensive clinical services district-wide, ensure the integration of therapeutic support with academic instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with behavioral, emotional, and academic challenges.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

District and Program Oversight:
  • Provide consultation to Tier II and III interventions, school counselors, and building principals to ensure a continuity of mental health services for all Mt Blue students (students with and without disabilities).
  • Assess the mental health needs of students and staff in specific programs and throughout the district.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of district-wide SEL professional development activities.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of day treatment and adaptive skills programming for students pre-K- age 22, including intakes and discharges in collaboration with the Special Services Office.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, clinicians, teachers, and support staff to align clinical services with academic goals and student needs
Clinical Leadership:
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to a team of clinicians and support staff.
  • ?Evaluate district clinicians (social workers, mental health clinicians) and associated programs.
  • Collaborate on evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support students' social-emotional development and behavioral management.
  • Collaborate with special services to oversee adaptive skills programming and establish/provide BHP supervision as determined by the BCBA.

Student Support:
  • Facilitate the completion of assessments to identify students' behavioral, emotional, and academic needs.
  • ?Support and monitor the development individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the student, parents/guardians, and multidisciplinary team.
Professional Development:
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff on trauma-informed practices, behavior management strategies, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in clinical and educational support services.

Collaboration and Communication:
  • Foster strong partnerships with parents/guardians, community agencies, and external service providers to support students' needs both inside and outside of school.
    • Engage in inter-agency collaboration.?
  • Oversee MOU's with state and local agencies and organizations.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders regarding student progress, behavior, and interventions.

?Documentation and Compliance:
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of student progress, assessments, and interventions in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and outcomes, and make data-driven decisions for program improvement.
  • Oversee MaineCare billing procedures and policy implementation in collaboration with the Special Services Office.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

260 Day Contract. Salary commensurate with experience.

EVALUATION:

The performance of this job will be evaluated annually per the provision of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
