As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you'll perform mechanical repairs on dump and mixer trucks, as well as heavy equipment including loaders, back hoes and excavators. Duties will include:

* Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment; perform major engine and transmission repairs and replacements as well as electrical diagnosis.
* Perform major electrical repairs (including electronic controls), minor welding repairs, as well as equipment and plant maintenance repairs.
* Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
* Maintain tools as required to perform job.
* Perform various duties in the shop.

Here's what we require:

* Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electronics, and familiar with associated components.
* Three years journeyman experience and/or two year diesel mechanic certificate preferred.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
* Good work habits and self-motivated to perform at a high level
* Attention and commitment to safety.
* Ability to follow directions with minimal or no supervision
* Ability to work well with others in a team environment
* Maintain driver's license (CDL preferred) and medical card.
* Clean driving record.
* Must be at least 18 years old
* Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
