Responsibilities:

* Provides communication to clinical staff regarding the status of pending referrals and status changes.
* Contacts various clinics, facilities, and companies to obtain information to accurately complete referral/pre-authorization requests.
* Actively tracks the referral pools and manages follow-ups in a timely manner.
* Enters required data which includes insurance, screening information, and fee information (if applicable).
* Completes all required documentation with accuracy according to established department protocols including the ICD-9 and CPT codes.
* Basic Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance, and administrative/computer skills.

* Manages time effectively and can multi-task.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

* At least 1 year of experience in ambulatory care setting or similar setting is strongly preferred.
* High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
* Medical Terminology Course required, or able to complete within 90 days of hire.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.

$20.65 - $24.83

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
