Position Summary:
The Government Contracts Specialist will play a critical role in managing and ensuring compliance with federal regulations, supporting production planning, and facilitating government contracting processes. This position requires a strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFAR), along with the ability to manage various contract obligations, including cybersecurity certifications and small business plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead regular production planning meetings with internal departments to ensure project alignment.
  • Review and support whole goods quote requests for accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to FAR and DFAR clauses in contracts and coordinate appropriate clause flow-down to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Develop training materials and guides on FAR and DFAR requirements for stakeholders involved in government contracts.
  • Support implementation of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and maintain adherence to CMMC policies.
  • Monitor and update the Small Business Plan annually for submission to the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) for review and approval.
  • Maintain accurate records of Government Property and submit reports to the DCMA Government Property Administrator on a yearly basis.
  • Prepare and update the quarterly business review presentation to inform key stakeholders of progress and metrics.
  • Draft and manage subcontractor business agreements to ensure compliance and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Complete and submit Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) accurately and on time.
  • Cross-train with other team members to promote business continuity.
  • Research data and assist in the preparation of Equitable Price Adjustments (EPAs) to support fair pricing.
  • Provide customers with quotes and manage order entry upon receipt of purchase orders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and federal government contract requirements.
  • Familiarity with CMMC policies and Small Business Plans.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint for business review updates.
