Core Responsibilities

* Support the Clean Energy Future and New York State's renewable integration goals as both Con Edison and third-party developers implement major electric transmission infrastructure upgrades to bring renewable energy generation such as Offshore Wind, Solar, Large Scale Batteries, and Hydroelectric Power into the State and Con Edison's service territory.
* Manage a team that involves various workstreams to support necessary coordination relative to third-party clean energy developer routing which may include but is not limited to terrestrial and waterway routes. This includes supporting company relocations, ensuring quality assurance and quality controls (QA/QC) to maintain system reliability and following all other Con Edison procedures and requirements.
* Develop and oversee project technical and schedule goals, maintain project-related documentation in applicable project control systems, and provide project progress and financial reports to the appropriate project sponsors with a proactive and systematic focus on challenges, risks, and successes.
* Develop and implement project delivery strategies, specifically non-traditional/innovative methodologies that support critical project goals and constraints, support contract development, negotiation, and execution, as well as gather data and lessons learned for the purposes of continuous improvement.
* Manage and coordinate technical and controls functions on projects, ensure contract adherence, coordinate and problem solve among various engineering/design and construction resources (both internal and external), end users, construction partners and other stakeholders.
* Maintain a continuous field presence, conduct site visits to assess potential projects and refine proposed scopes of work, and coordinate inspections of completed work for project closeouts.
* Perform data collection, organization, and tracking necessary to ensure accurate, on-demand project reporting in a range of areas, including compliance with project schedules, budgets, scopes, and customer requirements; includes understanding technical inputs and communicating results, and formulating work plans and tasks to ensure performance meets or exceeds project requirements and customer expectations.
* Demonstrate a commitment to customer service and an ability to manage a range of stakeholders, facilitate efficient technical problem solving, balancing customer needs against technical/project requirements, and write technical documents and other professional communications that may be distributed to a varied audience.
* Assist in implementing a rigorous training program for all supporting personnel and ensure training is properly maintained to ensure compliance.
* Establish and maintain a -Zero Harm- working environment for individuals and the environment.
* Maintain a driver's license and the qualifications and/or certifications obtained through the position. These include but are not limited to OSHA, CPR, and other required trainings to be in compliance.
* Perform other tasks and assignments as needed.

Required Education/Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction/Project Management or equivalent and 4 years of experience in managing and/or supporting technical, utility infrastructure projects or
* Associate's Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction/Project Management or equivalent and 7 years of experience in managing and/or supporting technical, utility infrastructure projects or
* High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of experience in managing and/or supporting technical, utility infrastructure projects

Relevant Work Experience

* Strong oral and written communications, particularly in a technical, project environment. Required
* Experience working in a team, tracking tasks and reporting progress. Required
* Experience with data collection, processing, and analysis. Required
* Computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office. Required
* Familiarity with services, construction, Design Build/EPC contracts and contract development, negotiations, and administration. Preferred
* Familiarity with project schedules, utilizing Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent software. Preferred
* Experience with electric utility, specifically substation and transmission, projects, including engineering/design development and street construction activities. Preferred
* Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and other collaboration tools. Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

* Driver's License Required

Other Physical Demands

* Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
* Must be willing and able to work in the field and office environment.
* Must be willing and able to travel throughout the company service territory and surrounding areas, and travel to company locations.
* Must be willing and able to wear the required PPE as needed.
* Must be willing and able to walk extensively, climb ladders, perform inspections in manholes and trenches, and travel or walk on uneven paths.
* Must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions, both indoors, outdoors.
* Must be willing and able to work in the vicinity of high voltage equipment (live electricity), transmission lines, and confined spaces.
* Must be able to use personal vehicle for company business on a daily basis.
