What You'll Do
The Parts Delivery Driver is a crucial link in our parts supply chain, by pulling parts to fulfill customer orders and delivering parts directly to the customer's location in a timely, professional, and safe manner. They are responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of parts to customers, dealerships, or repair facilities. Tasked with loading and unloading merchandise, the driver carefully verifies the contents against delivery orders to maintain accuracy. They navigate delivery routes efficiently, often using GPS systems, and adhere to established schedules to meet delivery deadlines. Additionally, Parts Delivery Drivers may interact directly with customers, requiring strong communication and customer service skills. Safety is paramount in this role, as drivers are responsible for the secure transport of often delicate and valuable truck components. Overall, their reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to punctual and secure deliveries contribute significantly to the smooth operation of the parts distribution process.
Job Duties:
- Pulls materials and parts and places orders in delivery area
- Prepares invoices for parts orders
- Interacts with customers
- Organize delivery route according to filled orders
- Performs physical count of inventory
- Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods
- Re-stocks items as necessary
- Processes and documents return as required following established procedures
- Monitors and maintains current inventory level
- Processes purchasing orders as required
- Performs routine housekeeping tasks to maintain area clean
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves and work stations organized and neat
- Maintains clean shipping supply area
- Complies with procedures, rules and regulations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Passion for delivering customer care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Keen sense for seeing, hearing, and remembering part numbers and line codes.
- Motivated team player able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-Motivated, strong sense of urgency, organized, detail-oriented, solid judgment
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license
- Warehouse background preferred
- Inventory management experience a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to pass post offer drug test and background check
Compensation:
- $16-$18/hour depending on experience
