Overview
BSA Health System, located in Amarillo, TX, is an extensive health system providing clinical excellence to the Texas Panhandle and the tri-state area. Acclaimed for its superior quality and customer service, BSA Health System is comprised of BSA Hospital, Physicians Surgical Hospitals, Harrington Cancer Center, BSA Physicians Group and specialty clinics. BSA Health System has 486 licensed beds.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Contract Coordinator will assist the Contract Administrator Manager in physician referral compensation process, preparation, and review of supporting documentation for all referral contracting process. Specific contracts include, but not limited to hospital-based arrangements, physician employment agreements, medical directorship, call pay, and hospital-based clinic agreements.
Responsibilities
* Communicate with physicians and physician offices, hospital staff, compliance, and hospital leadership, as well as corporate team members.
* Be knowledge of Stark Law, Medicare Anti-Kickback Statues and Federal Regulations following conditions under which physician compensation is reasonable by insuring that physician payments are in compliance with contracted services.
* Assist in evaluation, processing, and payment oversite of contracted physician's supplementary fee schedules.
* Assist Contract Administrator Manger in oversight and coordination of all provider contracts.
Qualifications
Experience:
* 3 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant preferred, preferably in healthcare setting or equivalent experience or education
* Previous experience with contract administration preferred.
Education/Certification/Licenses:
* High School or GED required.
* Bachelor's Degree preferred, certified paralegal - preferred, licensure.
