Fairbanks, United States Goldbelt Incorporated Full time

Overview

Goldbelt Glacier is accelerating healthcare delivery and providing superior force health readiness across the military, federal, and civilian landscapes. Goldbelt Glacier is committed to providing transformative and comprehensive health operational capabilities to support customers across scientific, clinical, technological, and program management areas.

Summary:

The licensed clinical Adult Counselor positions have the primary responsibility of providing short term, non-medical counseling and outreach to military service members and their families in Alaska. This includes individual, couples, group counseling, as well as briefings and presentations and 'walk-around' counseling to decrease the stigma often associated with counseling.

We are currently seeking qualified Adult Counselor to support the Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) program in Alaska. MFLC Adult Counselors provide services to military service members and their families to increase their ability to develop strong relationships, stress management, adequately express and manage their emotions and helps participants learn to anticipate and resolve unique challenges associated with military life. Other issues typically include marital problems, parenting, grief and loss, adjustment issues related to PSC'ing and deployments. These services aid in preventing or reducing the effects of stressors that may detract from military and family readiness.

Additionally, Adult Counselors provide proactive outreach to service members and their families via walk-around counseling. Counselors work closely with military branch points of contact (POCs) to ensure that program services are provided within the scope of the contract and meet the needs of the assigned installation.
