Nurse Sonographer

Responsible for Prestonwood Pregnancy Center ("PPC") nursing functions, including providing patient care and assisting with medical obstetric ultrasounds.

Responsibilities:

* Perform limited medical screening and pregnancy tests
* Perform limited medical obstetric ultrasounds in accordance with delegated orders, as scheduled
* Administer initial patient assessments
* Educate patients and their families and give instructions to patients as directed
* Work with staff and volunteers to coordinate patient flow at PPC
* Maintain patient documentation according to PPC protocol
* Assist with follow up communication regarding patients' medical conditions and test results
* Collect and run lab tests and document and report test results
* Maintain PPC safety protocols by ensuring safety in all clinical operations, demonstrating safe use of equipment related to patient care, and maintaining infection control measures with all patient contact
* Drive the mobile sonogram unit, if needed
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministry
* Pro-life in word and pro-love in action
* Possess and maintain current RN license
* Possess sonography certificate or be willing to obtain sonography training
* Comply with state and professional licensing and continuing education requirements
* Excellent communication skills, bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
* Ability to work with the highest level of confidentiality
* Experience working with volunteers a plus
* Commitment to continued professional development especially in the areas of obstetrics, gynecology, and women's health issues
* Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office products
* Availability to work at least 2 evenings per week and assigned Saturdays
* Possess a clear driving record and a current Texas Driver License
