Nurse Sonographer

Summary:

Responsible for nursing functions, providing patient care and assisting with medical obstetric ultrasounds.

Responsibilities:

* Work with clinic staff and volunteers to coordinate flow of patients.
* Perform limited medical screening and pregnancy tests
* Perform limited medical obstetric ultrasounds in accordance with our delegated orders, as scheduled
* Initial patient assessments
* Assist with patient/family education. Give instructions to patient as directed.
* Maintain patient documentation according to clinic protocol. Document and report test results.
* Assist with follow up of patient's medical conditions and test results.
* Collect and run lab tests.
* Incorporate principals of safety in all clinical operations. Demonstrate safe use of equipment related to patient care. Maintain infection control measures with all patient contact.
* May drive the mobile sonogram unit
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

* Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministry
* Pro-life in word and pro-love in action
* Possess current RN license
* Possess or be willing to obtain sonography training
* Comply with state and professional licensing and continuing education requirements
* Excellent communication skills, bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
* High level of confidentiality
* Experience working with volunteers a plus
* Commitment to continued professional development especially in the areas of obstetrics, gynecology and womens health issues.
* Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office products
