Processing Supervisors

The essential function of our supervisors is to provide leadership and direction to hourly associates engaged in the manufacturing and processing of world class food products. The supervisor position is salary exempt plus weekend pay.

Salary: To be determined based on experience level
Supervisor Key Accountabilities
- Drive departmental efficiencies and maximize productivity.
- Monitor and control inventory levels and yields.
- Control labor costs; staffing and overtime.
- Monitor machinery to maintain quality and minimize downtime.
- Monitor product quality and flow to meet customer demands and requirements.
- Promote and maintain teamwork among employees.
- Supervisory responsibility includes management of employee performance, discipline, development and recourse planning; establish, grow and maintain a responsible, motivated, contributory work culture
- Manage workforce scheduling, and employee placement to ensure the facility and company goals are successfully met or exceeded
- Adhere to protocols, policies and procedures to achieve and maintain food safety ratings, monitor progress and take action to achieve them
- Lead the training and performance of assigned staff; implement job-related training to eliminate food safety risks; coach, mentor, motivate and supervise direct reports to maximize operational success
- Promote safety in the workplace; support and enforce the facility's safety program and regulatory compliance in conjunction with the Safety Supervisor and the Director of Human Resources; actively participate in the Company's safety committee and hold direct staff accountable for compliance to safe work practices
- Develop supportive relationships with Operations and other support staff (Quality, Distribution, Maintenance) to achieve results and maintain the highest standards for product safety and quality; participate in achieving or exceeding the company's annual targeted operational objectives
- Partner with Human Resources to resolve employee relations concerns and to consistently administer disciplinary action when needed
Minimum Requirements
- Combination of 2 years of education, training and/or work experience related to business management, food production, manufacturing processes or related field.
- Availability to work OT/weekends.
- Supervisors are expected to report one hour prior to their shift for start-up duties and be available to stay after the end of the shift to complete any necessary reports and/or paperwork.
- Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
