Quality care and overall efficiency are essential components to this success. # Trained Medical Assistant (T.M.A.) duties apply ONLY to those that have completed the TMA certification process, received training, and been assigned to TMA duties. # POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Successful completion of an approved nursing assistant training program and competency evaluation within four months from the date of employment. License/Certificates: Active certification with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry required.# Candidate may prove that he or she has recently successfully completed an approved training program and has not yet been included in the registry. Special Skills and Aptitudes: Effective interpersonal skills - building a positive relationship with residents, coworkers, and others. Maintain appropriate security of Medication Cart Proper administration of oxygen delivery systems Blood Glucose monitoring Provide proper wound care Properly order/re-order medications Properly use emergency equipment Properly use Nebulizers Properly use blood pressure cuff, pulse oximeter, thermometer Proper use of any other instrument utilized in this TMA Role 2.# Effectively utilize computer systems required for this position (e.g. Point Click Care, e-MAR/TAR, email, Net Learning, Technical Life Support, etc.) 3.# Be a role model.# Monitor staff to ensure resident needs are met, report performance concerns to the licensed nurse. 4.# Appropriately communicate via written or verbal methods.## Inform licensed nursing staff of resident conditions and/or changes to conditions.
